PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (July 15, 2025) – TBC Corporation (“TBC”), a leader in the mobility industry and one of North America’s largest marketers of automotive replacement tires through wholesale and franchise operations, today announced the promotion of Doug Sergent to Chief Legal & Compliance Officer. In this role, Sergent joins TBC’s executive team and will oversee the company’s legal affairs, compliance and corporate governance functions. Sergent reports directly to TBC President & CEO Don Byrd.
Sergent has more than 25 years of legal experience, with more than a decade at TBC. He joined TBC in 2012 as Vice President, Assistant General Counsel, and was promoted to Senior Vice President, General Counsel, in 2023. While at TBC, Sergent has advised the business on a wide range of initiatives and has overseen critical corporate functions including legal, ethics and compliance, asset protection, corporate governance, internal audit operations, risk management, safety and more. Earlier in his career, Sergent was a partner at BakerHostetler, one of the largest law firms in the U.S., where he specialized in employment and labor law.

Sergent earned his bachelor’s degree from Case Western Reserve University and his law degree from Cleveland State University.
